Minnco Credit Union

At 2121 Station Pkwy NW in Andover, Minnesota, Minnco Credit Union operates as a credit union. Its own account of its history begins with “humble beginnings”: more than ninety years ago, seven ordinary people pooled their savings to help neighbors in need. That story presents the institution as one shaped by mutual help among neighbors, and it gives readers a sense of the local roots described in that account. People in the Andover area who are considering a credit union rather than a conventional bank can use that background as a starting point. Before joining a credit union, ask whether membership is open to you through residence, employment, family relationship, or another association. Ask which account types the credit union offers, which lending options it provides, and what fees and rates apply to each. Request the fee schedule and ask how deposits are insured. It is also worth asking whether the credit union participates in a shared branching or ATM network, since access can matter for routine banking. Ask how to open an account and what documents are required. Compare the answers with other credit unions and banks in the Andover, Minnesota area, and confirm that the services you need are available before you commit.
