The Rescue Crew

A volunteer-operated, foster-based rescue in Andover, Minnesota, helps dogs and cats find loving homes. The Rescue Crew serves people in Minnesota who want to foster or adopt a pet. Its work is described as 100% volunteer operated, with animals cared for through foster homes. The rescue's stated invitation is "Help Save a Life Start Your Adoption Journey." It is located at 14033 Round Lake Blvd NW in Andover. Before choosing a rescue, ask how the foster-based process works in practice. Because animals live with volunteers, ask what the rescue can share about each dog's or cat's temperament, energy level, and experience with children or other pets. Ask whether medical records, vaccination details, and spay or neuter status are provided before adoption, and what any adoption fee covers. If you are considering fostering, ask what veterinary care, supplies, and day-to-day support the rescue provides, and how long a typical placement lasts. Also ask how the rescue matches animals with homes, whether a meet-and-greet or trial period is part of the process, and what support is available if health or behavior concerns arise after adoption. These questions can help you understand whether a particular rescue and a particular animal are a good fit for your household.
