Upper Midwest Athletic Construction

Based in Andover, Minnesota, Upper Midwest Athletic Construction works as a general contractor. Its address is 3017 161st Ave NW. General contractors coordinate construction work, so readers should confirm what the contractor handles directly and what is assigned to subcontractors. Ask which subcontractors will be used, how their licensing and insurance are checked, and who supervises the site day to day. For any project, ask whether the contractor will obtain the necessary permits and schedule inspections. Request a written scope that separates labor, materials, and allowances, and clarify how change orders are approved and priced before work begins. Ask for a projected schedule with key milestones, and find out how delays are handled and communicated. Confirm whether the contractor provides a single point of contact for questions and decisions. Before signing, request a sample contract and a certificate of insurance, and ask about warranty terms for workmanship and materials. If the project involves athletic facilities or similar construction, ask what comparable work the contractor has completed and for references from those projects. Confirm whether lien waivers will be provided as payments are made, and ask how final cleanup and punch list items are handled. These questions help define responsibilities and reduce ambiguity in a general contracting agreement.
