Andover Elementary School

Andover Elementary School is an elementary school in Andover, Minnesota, at 14950 Hanson Blvd NW. It serves families in the Andover area with elementary-level education for school-age children. Families comparing elementary schools should ask which grades a school serves and what its curriculum covers in reading, math, science and other subjects, along with how class sizes are determined and how student progress is reported to parents during the year. It is worth asking what support is available for a child who needs extra help in a particular subject and how special education services are handled. Enrollment questions matter as well: whether attendance boundaries apply to your neighborhood, what documents are required to register, and whether transportation is provided for students who live beyond walking distance. Ask also what before and after school care, activities and enrichment a school offers, and how parents are kept informed about classroom work and school events. A visit during a school day, arranged in advance, can show how classrooms are run and how staff and students interact. Parents of children with particular needs, whether academic, medical or otherwise, should ask directly how the school accommodates them before registering. Comparing answers from several elementary schools in the Andover area gives a clearer picture of which setting fits your child.
