Oak View Middle School

Located at 15400 Hanson Blvd NW in Andover, Minnesota, Oak View Middle School is a middle school for students in the middle grades. It is one of the local school options for families in the Andover area. Families considering it should confirm the grades served and how the curriculum is organized before applying. When comparing middle schools, ask about class sizes, academic support for students who need extra help, and options for students who need more challenge. Ask how the school handles scheduling, student assignments, and communication with parents during the year. It is also worth asking about enrollment steps, transfer or residency requirements, and any deadlines that apply. Ask for the student handbook and school calendar so expectations are clear. These details matter because middle school structures can vary from one school to another. Ask what extracurricular activities, clubs, athletics, or other student programs are available, and whether transportation is provided from different parts of Andover. Request a tour or information session, and ask about state and local accountability results, student support services, and the process for raising concerns. Families should also ask how the school supports the transition into middle school and what happens when a student needs additional help. A visit and direct questions can clarify whether the school's organization and offerings fit a particular student.
