Joe Stepanek - Thrivent

In Andover, Minnesota, a Thrivent financial professional works as part of the Cornerstone Group practice at 1889 Station Pkwy NW. The financial professional holds the ChFC® and FIC designations and is affiliated with Thrivent. The practice is a local point of contact for people in the Andover area who want to discuss financial matters. Before choosing a financial professional, ask what specific areas they cover, such as insurance, retirement planning, or investment advice, and confirm which licenses and registrations apply to those areas. Ask whether recommendations are limited to Thrivent products or whether other options can be considered. Because compensation can shape recommendations, ask plainly how the professional is paid, including whether fees, commissions, or a combination apply. Also ask how recommendations are documented and whether the professional coordinates with your tax or legal advisers. Ask how often a plan or account is reviewed and what a typical client relationship looks like from the first meeting onward. Clarify the scope of the relationship, what services are included, and what information you are expected to provide. These questions help you compare financial professionals on the substance of the advice and the terms of the relationship, not on titles alone. A first conversation should leave you with a clear picture of what the professional can discuss, how they are compensated, and how your questions will be handled.
